In the world of technology, there seem to be too many acronyms to keep track of. I like to begin first with the definition of SIP or Session Initiation Protocol. Session Initiated Protocol (SIP): A Five-Function Protocol. On SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) to enable communication between employees, a basic understanding of the workings of SSL and a working knowledge of load User Agent Client (UAC): A UAC creates a request or initiates a dialog. SIP provides five functions, uses a layered approach that gives it flexibility, and has an openness that enables new applications to utilize it.
